SUBANG – Mitsui Fudosan Group (Mitsui Fudosan) and Malaysia Airports today marked a significant milestone in the continued development of Subang Airport's aerospace ecosystem with the groundbreaking of the Subang MRO Logistics Complex Project, a new industrial development within the Subang Aerotech Park.
Developed by MFMA Industrial Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Malaysia Airports (Subang) Sdn Bhd, the facility is a strategic investment aimed at supporting the growth of aviation and aerospace related businesses within the Subang Airport area.
The groundbreaking ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Transport, Loke Siew Fook; Minister of Japan Embassy Daisuke Nihei, Managing Director of Mitsui Fudosan Masayoshi Saito; and Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, Dato' Mohd Izani Ghani.
Located within Subang Aerotech Park, the development will provide ready-built industrial space designed to support a diverse range of aviation, aerospace and logistics operators. Its flexible configuration will cater to both growing enterprises and established industry players, enabling them to establish or expand their presence within Malaysia's leading aerospace ecosystems.
The facility further strengthens Subang Airport's role as a centre for aerospace and business aviation. By introducing additional ready-built industrial capacity within the airport area, the development will support future industry growth, facilitate business expansion and enhance the attractiveness of Subang as a destination for aerospace and aviation-related investment.
Managing Director of Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Malaysia Masayoshi Saito, said that Malaysia possesses a strong geographical advantage as a potential logistics hub within ASEAN. Furthermore, Subang MRO Logistic Complex is located within Subang Aerotech Park, a leading hub for the aerospace and business aviation industries, while also offering excellent connectivity to Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

In addition to dry warehouse facilities, we have expanded our portfolio to include cold storage facilities, factories, and data centers in response to evolving market needs. Malaysia is recognised as a leading aerospace destination in the region, with Subang Airport playing an important role in the country's aerospace and business aviation ecosystem. Malaysia is currently the third largest MRO player in Asia Pacifi c refl ecting the strength and maturity of its aerospace industry.
Built on a 4.42-acre site within Subang Aerotech Park, the facility will offer approximately 254,420 sq ft of gross floor area and multiple tenancy options to accommodate varying operational requirements. Strategically located within the Subang Airport area, the development will provide convenient access to established aerospace, aviation and logistics operators across the Klang Valley.
The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2027, with operations targeted to commence in the fourth quarter of the same year.
